Rescue Me ID: 18-02-12-00050RHETT (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

SAY HELLO TO RHETT! Rhett is an adorable snowy white Poodle / Bichon mix boy. Weighing in at 15 pound and estimated to be about 6 years old, Rhett came to us through no fault of his own as he was surrendered. Rhett was very shy when he came to our rescue, but he has really blossomed! Rhett will just need time with his new family to adjust fully. He has become very confident on his outings going up to people and really just wanted as much people attention as possible! He enjoyed it very much and let men, women and even a toddler pet him smiling and basking in the attention. He doesn't care too much for toys, but very much cares to be ... (Read More)with his person and will follow them everywhere. He walks on his leash and has become much more comfortable with it. He is housetrained, but like all rescues, he will need gentle guidance until he adjusts to his family's new routine as in where to go and what to do. Rhett understands basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay' and hops easily in and out of the car. He has become comfortable with rides in the car. Initially, loud noises frightened him, but he is so much better with that. Rhett gets on well with his foster mates and would do well with another similar in size, age and quiet temperament. He also would thrive with a family of adults or adults with kids older than 8 who will understand and respect his small size. The only 'quirk' that Rhett has is that he licks his legs. Not really sure why other than it's a habit acquired from boredom as he has been checked for allergies. Rhett is a longer coated breed that will require regular brushing as well as professional grooming and nail trims every 4 to 6 weeks. Rhett's adoption fee is $ 350.00. This fee includes his Wellness Visit with our Veterinarian, neuter, all vaccinations including Rabies and Bordatella, microchip with lifetime registration, de-worming and professional groom. (Less)
